Well what can I say never let anyone else drive your car. Today my stepdad asked if he could take someone home becouse his '79 Z was blocked in the driveway. I finally agreed and then about half-an-hour later I get a phone call. He says he was driving normal and all of the sudden it started knocking and smoking! Any idea's on what the problem is? Spun bering? No hoses or belts appear to be broken.

Please repond quickly becouse when he gets here with the tow truck he's going to have a broken nose. The car is in the sig.

probably a cracked piston they sound like spun berings but can really turn on the smoke, especially if its a 305
