I had the basic mods on my 305 before I yanked it for my 383. Start with intake and exhaust. Get emissions legal headers....I would suggest SLP or Edelbrock TES headers. I would also either change your muffler or get a complete cat-back. Also consider a cat if yours has a lot of miles on it. As far as the intake all I did was add K&N's and remove my MAF screens. Also consider upgrading your ignition. Get a good cap and rotor set....atleast Accel if not MSD. Also get good wires and plugs. If you really wanted to go overboard you could get an ignition box, but I don't feel it's necessary on a 305 with minor mods. The only other engine performance mod I had was an aftermarket chip. I had an ADS and it really wasn't that great, but it only cost me $100. Also it was advertised as emissions legal, but I failed when I had it installed....no big deal though because it took 10 minutes to remove it and go back to pass. Good luck with your mods.

Getting there.....383 with Super Ram, Bosch 24# SVO's, MSD, Edelbrock 58 mm TB, 700R4 tranny, Eibach springs, Koni 12 way adjustable shocks and struts, and more!! Now let's pray it runs when it's all back together!!!!

If its a peanut cammed car, I'd be looking to change that cam at some time too. Aluminum Vette heads are a good option for the 305 if you want to change heads.
