i actually have vette alluminum heads on my 305 TPI, make sure u get the alluminum heads from a 87 to 91' corvette, In many publications they say that the corvette heads works 1 1/2 times better on a 305 than 350. I paid $350.00 for my vette heads which were rebuild and another $300.00 for the porting and polishing, defenetly worth it.

They will work better than L98 heads because they have a 60 cc combustion chamber and won't lower your compression ratio like a cast iron L98 head will. But remember, vette heads, even 87-91 did NOT change the angle on the four intake bolt holes in the center. So you'll have to get the holes inlarged on you intake to make them match. Also, corvette heads run the EGR differently, and they have a raised exhaust port which could possibly cause problems sealing to the manifolds. But don't misunderstand; they're a great head if you are willing to make them work.

vortech305, did you have any trouble puttin the heads on or was it a nice bolt in thing? I definatly think its time for new heads cause the stock 305 heads are not the best. I have headman headers and i wana know if you think those will bolt up to the vette aluminum heads? Thanks a lot
