CompCams XE262

I am thinking about a cam swap in the very near future. my current setup is a 77 350 from a Camaro rebuilt to 9:1 compression, some "hi-po" cam that came with the engine kit, I think its 224/224 duration, .465/.465 lift. I am using an Edelbrock Performer, stock L-69 exhaust manifolds(soon to be replaced with headers),3 inch Flowmaster catback and a stock torque converter, 3.23 gears. As the title suggests, Im thinking about CompCams XE262 grind. I hear it produces more peak torque in a 350 than the XE268 does. Does it sound like this cam would work well with my set up? My car is a daily driver with the CC Quadrajet and distributor and my racing is ususally limited to street racing. Thanks.

Slap on some Edelbrock heads and a 3000 rpm stall converter and you'll have my engine! It has some quirks, but a good setup in general. If I didn't have emmissions, I would have gone with more cam and a different manifold though...

1984 z28 w/ a 357 cu in. monster engine which is looking like the posterchild for Edelbrock with the exception of the Holley 750vac... all the suspension stuff... 9-bolt posi disk is in...
