Vibrating type noise from engine area

Car: 82 trans am (knight rider)
Engine: 305 Carb
Transmission: 4 speed (want an automatic)
Vibrating type noise from engine area
whenever i press hard on the gas i hear a vibrating noise comming from the engine or nearby. Never hear it at any other time other than when i press hard on the gas...i hope maybe its just the flywheel because i figure it would be something serious if i heard it all the time even at idle.....please let me know about any thoughts you have on this. thanks
