idleing RPMs

just outta curisoity i was wondering what the avergae idleing RPMs for a 305 4 barrell should be cuz i think mine is way too high

should be around 750 or 800

Engine: ZZ4 - 350
Transmission: Garbage
ot sure about the 305 motor, but in drive my 5.7 is about 550 rpm's and about 650 in park. With the air on the car is about 650 in drive, and 700 in park. I would imagine the 350 and the 305 motors should be close, but I am not sure. I am not even sure if my Rpm's are factory correct, but it runs fine so I am not going to mess with it.

My 350 is set at 550 idle and 500 drive. I've set it lower before but this is as low as I would go. in the manuel it says to set to 475 idle and 450 drive but at that rpm my car starts to make some weird noises.

well i got an 87 with a 305 and its idling way to high around 1500 in park, in drive is around 800
i think i got some vaccum problems, but i cant seem to find it,
and my car is an automatic and is there a vaccum line that helps it shift, and if so then which one, that would be a help
