help wit oil cooler

help wit oil cooler
ok so i took out the oil adapter because there was a leek. well now it isnt flush with the if i want the oil filter on. if the top of the cooler is flush, then there isnt enough thread for the oilf filter. i thynk i needed a spacer or sumtin. well there is a o-ring on the top and im hopin thats it, but i want to make sure everythyng is right so if anybody has the off the wall pictures i would appreciate this. i am also goin to do it by myself becuz someone helped me the first tyme and he was all wrong in wat he thought and i was right. soo..... ur guys help is appreciated.

sorry to bring up such an old thread but i found this and this is almost exactly what im having problems with. the oil filter adapter bolts are sitting too high and when i go to put on the oil cooler adapter it wont sit low enough for it to seal correctly. any help would be appreciated.
