Taking the AC out

im going to take out the AC. i have a 87 T/A but wouldn't i lose the heater as well???

No AC has nothing to do with the heater. The heater core is in the dash. as long as you dont touch that your ok.

I would like to take out my A/C as well. I must replace the compressor with an idler pulley, though. What do non-A/C cars have on them? could I get a pulley from a wrecker for cheap?
