Ugh, help please and a few questions.
Not trying to be a bother, but ive searched for a good 2 hours on a seemingly simple topic. Few days ago I thought my MAF stuff was screwed up again and I drained the battery trying to start it, so jumped it off, battery drained real quick. Got the battery and Alt tested, both were bad. So today I put them in, it turns over nice but would try to catch, but never fire up. So I pulled 3 spark plugs, all were wet (smells like fuel) and black black black with carbon. So my question is, what exactly does this mean? Should I just change the plugs, or am I looking at a more serious problem? Just rebuilt the engine BTW.
So now for a few other questions concerning my rebuild. I have an L98 TPI, heres the rebuilt specs.
Engine: Bored .030 over, crankshaft turned and polished, forged pistons, LT4 Hotcam, Everything was balanced out.
Heads: Tri angle valve job, 1.6 self aligning RR.
So, if a stock L98 is around 230 HP(I think?) what kind of HP would I be looking at now? and will my stock 700R4 stand up to the new rebuild?
Thanks for any help!!

if your plugs are really carboned that usually means you are running way to rich. change your plugs and check your fuel pressure should be somewhere around 43psi. i would say your engine is around 300 horse and your 700 might last for a while but they are not that strong and make sure your tv cable is adjusted properly or u will fry it in no time. hope this helps u

It was running a bit rich, just need to get it timed and such, then move on to other problems. With the cam and such, will the ECM adapt itself well to the new setup? Or will it just continue to run rich until I get a new PROM? Just some ideas im throwin out, but Im just taking it one step at a time. Thanks for the help!
