ok i checked my timming today after figuring out i could EASILY read the marks after cleaning off the tab. and anyways after i jumped the Diag. terminals i was getting about 20* BTDC, now the car wasn't fully warmed up, but i thought if u jumped the A & B terminals then it wouldn't matter, and when i took out the paper clip i was getting about 14* BTDC. should i wait for the car to be FULLY warmed up, or is there a chance its really that far advanced, im not having any pinging or anything.

I've never checked the timing by jumping A and B...only by disconnecting the EST Bypass connector.

Can't be. If you jumped the proper terminals then it would drop you down to the base timing. Anything that the computer puts in is ADDITIVE to that. It can't subtract from the base timing. Check which terminals you are jumping again (it's not always a & B) or just disconnect the timing wire.
