Temp gauge sensor name?
I am just wondering whats the name of the sensor that controls the temp gauge, because at the auto parts store,I tell them I need a temp sensor,and they keep giving me the one on top of the intake manifold with the two wires.Is there some kind of specific name for it,or is it a dealer part only?

Transmission: sure does
Temp sending unit. You will need to specify its for the gauge.
Should be able to get it anywhere.

could it also be called the Coolant Temperature Switch, or CTS for short?
That is what the part is called on my 96 Camaro, when I unplug the connector, my guage stops working.
