I was wondering which 350 5.7 TPI was the engine used in the Trans am's and camaro's. Was it the L98's? I wanted to know which one was the best stock engine.

There was no 350 available in 1983 for firebirds or camaros. The L98 only became available to both in 1987.

The L98 was the only 350 put in a 3rd gen.

Oh, and the best stock L98s were 90-92, rated at 245hp, 345tq.

I know that. I put my username in by accident..and couldnt edit it. I know that the 350 TPI's became available in '87. I just didnt know if there were different types...b/c I wanted to buy this GTA he kept mentioning how it was an L98 350 5.7 TPI. I didnt know if there were other 350's available. I know that '83's were only available with the 305's. Mine has a 350 carbed dropped in it though. Thanks for the reply.
