Question on rod knock

Would a knocking rod send the knock sensor into fault mode?

This is of course purely hypothetical... if you had a rod knock loud enough to disturb the knock sensor, I believe the ECM's reaction to it would be quite low on your list of priorities at that exact moment. At least, it wouldn't be on my radar screen, anyway.

Yes you are quite right RB, but I was just wondering considering I am getting a crank kit put in it. WOndering if I had more of a small headache problem than a large one!
Thanks for your help
