New MSD digital Dizzy
I was going to post this in the review forums, but its really not a review, since this item just came out. I'm more wondering what people think of these new distributers? Crane came out with one a little bit ago that I believe won an award at the SEMA show.
It seems to be a good idea to me instead of monkey with springs and weights, you just go in with a screw driver and dial your timing curve both mech. and vac. From the description it seems like you don't need to buy an ignition box either.
I'm considering the MSD one (linked below) for my current build up, but I was wondering if anyone had some opinions on whether or not the digital dist. is a good way to go. Any thoughts or comments are welcome.

This is interesting, how does this compare to an HEI unit like the 8365?
I was going to buy the later, but now I'm confused again.
I just read about relocating the HEI coil off of the distributer with a better one and this looks like it would be good for this as well?
-at least a bump...

I'm not sure how it compares to an HEI unit. It seems to be an efficent design, but has yet to be tested by real experience with customers. I'm tempted to be one of the guinea pigs, but I'm still hesitent. The fact that its digital would lead me to believe its more accurate than the spring and weight set ups?

I have teh Ready to Run Digital HEI ProBillet distributer. all i can say is wow.
First off it went in a-ok no problems
second, coming from a dist. with sand in it and corroded terminals i can feel the difference in power. teh car pulls alot better in the upper 3k+ range
third, it has a rev limiter. thats all i need to say. lol i already hit it( set at 5500 rpm) burning out. its a great peace of mind.
the only thing i noticed is that the distributer makes a slight whirring sound, i think its due to the new gear breaking in on the bottom of it.
