TPI Swap?
TPI Swap?
How tough would it be to swap TPI Injection onto a 305 TBI car? Aren't the fuel pressure and harnesses diffferent? Can I use an AFPR to run the fuel pressure higher? Any other hang-ups to doing this?

The installation will require a different ECM, altered or different wiring harness for the extra sensors and controls, a different fuel pump, and a different throttle and TV cable, and of course the complete intake, throttle body, ducting, MAF, and air cleaner.
The ECM used on the TBI engines cannot operate the outputs required for the TPI system. The fuel pump for TBI can produce about 18-20 PSIG maximum, while a TPI fuel pump needs to be able to produce at least 48 PSIG. The cables used for TBI may not reach the throttle body on the TPI.
If you were really aggressive, you might be able to do the swap in a couple of days.
