Can I do away with this harness?
There is a harness between my backseat and my trunk wall that the fuel pump wires run to. This harness looks trashed. I am pretty sure that is what is causing my fuel pump to not come on. Does anyone know where I can get a new one or if I can just bypass it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Are the wires broken/cut/chafed/stripped? If they conduct, and the insulation is intact, then I'd leave them alone. Hacking it up is just likely to make things worse, if you don't know how to do at least as good a job as the factory did.

Well, the boy electrons, said f you to the girl electrons, and one of my prongs is now bent and corroded from the war they had...of course, it has to be the prong to the grey wire, which powers my fuel pump...so i was going to either wire in a new harness or by pass it. which do you think would be best since I cant find that specific harness anywhere. I do have electrical experience, just havent messed with car electronics. thanks

I'd think the best thing to do would be to go to the boneyard, and get that connector pair out of another car. Any GM car of about the same age should have the same thing. If the connector body is different or too hard to get in and out of the sheet metal or whatever, you could just cut the one wire out of your original plugs, and cut the same length off of your replacement ones, and just change out the connector pins and the last couple inches of the wires on each side.
