The perfect 2 piece rear main seal install
I am wondering what I can do to install my 2 piece rear main seal to minimize the possibility of a leak.
What can be done to make it a perfect seal? I've install 1-piece seals with no leaks but the fact this has two makes me think it’s a lot easier to leak.
Whets your secret to minimize leaking....

convert to 1 peice rear main seal
seriously though, i don't think a trick, just install it and hope for the best

Make sure you rotate the seal slightly in the block so that the ends of the seal don't line up with the mating surfaces of the cap and block.
