Code 34 and MAP sensor

Hi all,

I've got an 82 Trans Am and the computer gives me a code 34. I'm sure my MAP sensor is kaput cos when I measure the voltage on the sensor output it doesn't fluctuate at all when vacuum changes and stays at a constant 0.53V. Fortunately the reference voltage is 5.03V so that's OK. Sound like a sensible diagnosis?

What is the GM part number for a suitable MAP sensor for my car? And, where can I get one from that will ship outside of the USA?

By your results, it would appear that the MAP is dead. You should see numbers similar to this:

Any aftermarket MAP should be better than a dead one.

Pace have one for $48.46 - is this a good price? GM Parts Direct have it for cheaper but they don't ship international.

I discovered it wasn't my MAP sensor at fault at all. The vacuum hose had come off the back of the carb. I love a cheap fix!
