Rotten egg smell, after my car just got egged- please help!!

Well my car was vandalized about 6 days ago, with 2 dozen eggs. I washed my car immediately after it happened (they drove off just minutes before I got home). Well after hosing my car off about 6 times at the car wash, I now get this nasty egg odor whenever I turn on my heater. When the car is in motion, I can't smell it. But when I stop it smells strong. Does anyone know where it could be coming from? The engine has already been sprayed off and cleaned. Thanks for any assistance.

Sounds like an exhaust leak that is getting into your passanger compartment. My guess is that you are noticing it more now since you got egged, but I doubt it has anything to do with it.

Unless, of course, those punk vandals did something like put a stinkbomb somewhere in your car.

I would try sniffing around to see where it is coming from.

what happened was some egg got in the intake for the defrost/heater. Its right under the top of the hood, right below the windshield. open the hood and cech the screens for egg and **** like that.
so, why'd these bastards egg your car?
do you have a bb gun?

BB Gun? I was thinking .243 Winchester at 250 yards .

I agree with blue91rs, that's probably where your egg is.

ammo is wayyyy too expensive to waste on those things. besides, from 250, how are you going to hear them scream from that far away?

Again, Jethro is on the right track. With an AE50, there won't be any screams....just like the Saliva boys talk about.

Try turning the heater/AC controls to full off position, open the hood, and flood the air intake grille at the cowl area with copious amounts of water from your garden hose. You might even try foaming in some sort of soap or cleaner, then rinsing it until clear water appears at the AC condensate drain.

Blue91 is probably right - they got some egg into the air intake, and it isn't going to get better by itself.
