well, normally the sensus says if any company calls their engines "remanufactured" they are junk. They might have long warentees, and last the normal guy next door his term. But for performance they are junk. Just try and ask one of these reman companies if they make corvette motors, and they'll say no thats a special performance motor. their cheap facilities cant afford to have exact dimentions represented hundreds of times. they make mistakes more then the average engiine builder. It might be cheaper for you to just research engine building in general. Goto the library and rent some books. Thats the easy part.
Then once you have a good understanding, you might be able to get a reperable machine shop dop the work to a block you got and actually get a decent motor out of the deal.
But remember "remanufactured" means junk, same way with starters altenators, everything from autozone, o'reily, advance, and sometimes napa.
Keep to the sensus.

You get what you pay for.
Ive never heard of that place before of course we dont have a local O'Reily here. I'd suggest you look for the best engine you can find and afford. I like to sell people on Jasper engines, www.Jasperengines.com/ since they have had a good track record at our shop. We have only had a few problems and Jasper took care of them an actually paid, Reccon never pays or admits thier faults.

jasper also cost around $2200, what a decent local machine shop would charge todo the exact same stuff to a good block they pick out. and maybe even install for you. I had an estimate done by them, and their engine are way too expensive for my tastes. Thats why i did my research and build my first motor this week. Shes in the car but i need a few more parts.
