What should I do to get my camaro ready for storage?

Hey,

I will be shipping out to boot camp sometime in August and I was wondering what I should do before storing it.

Should I start using synthetic oil? Because it will be sitting for extended periods of time. It will be at my parents house but I would rather not have my dad doing maintance. It isn't his job.

I also just installed a tci street fighter th350. What should I do to it to ensure its survival?
