Gas pedal not very responsive?
My '86 IROC doesn't seem to have a very responsive gas pedal/throttle... I just recently started driving the third gens; is this just a trait of the car? It seems like the pedal needs to be pressed for a little bit before the engine responds. It may just need a tune-up; I haven't had a chance to do that yet. Any easy way to fix this?

It shouldn't be like that, I don't know what would do it though.
Slack in your throttle cable, sticking throttle blades, and a TPS malfunction could cause your hesitation off idle. I would check these things first.

Yea cable probably slacking some, my dad when he was under my cars hood told me he took a tiny bit of slack out of the throttle cable and I can definately feel a more responsive engine when my foot goes down.
Give it a go, cant be all that hard to fix
