Stock exhaust mainafolds, and headers

I was trying to change my spark plugs, man what a job that is. And i was wondering if I get headers do they bolt on or do they need to be welded?? Cuase my current stock things on the engine look like they are bolted on. And i saw a set of Elderbroc headers that say they just bolt on. Plus is it true headers make getting to plugs easier?

I got the Edelbrock TES headers and they can be bolted on to your stock exhuast at least they could for me. As far as getting to your spark plugs. It won't be easier, you'll have to get under the car for the back 2 plugs on the passenger side.

I think it's easier to change plugs with my TES, all from the top side. I pull the battery + terminal and use an 5/8" open-end wrench to get at #6&8 plugs.

If you get TES, get em fully JET HOT coated in/out. A set of Stage 8 SS header bolts will assure no problems later too.

I've heard of moving the steering shaft or raising the motor to make room, but when I installed my headers, I also changed my heads, so I didn't need to move anything.

I didn't have to remove my steering column, driver side was easy, had some trouble on passenger side, remove smog parts, and AC was already out. The most time consuming part was getting the manifolds off and removing smog equipment.
