Trouble Starting after replacing a dead fuel pump
Trouble Starting after replacing a dead fuel pump
I am having some trouble starting my 92 z28 305 TPI. Recently my brother drove the car till the tank was empty so the fuel pump died and I just replaced and got that taken care of and also put in some fuel system cleaner... Now everytime I go to start the car you can hear it crank over once very slowly then crank over again and start. Almost sounds like there is no battery for just a second. Before the fuel pump died he said the car always started up fine cold or hot... this problem I have now happens when it is cold or hot.
Would the fuel injectors be bad? I have no idea what it could be so before I go and change plugs, wires etc. I would like some opinions or facts on what is wrong.
Thanks everyone

I don't think your car will run on fuel system cleaner. You should try mixing some fuel in there with it.
Does the pump prime itself after you turn the key to the "Run" position?
