air sound coming from inside the car

Everytime i hit my brake pedal i can here like a wooshing noise. inside my master cylinder reservoir, there are bubbles coming up and my brakes dont work that good. can anyone help me? thanks

try bleeding your breaks and check if your brake booster is leaking.

I get the whooshing sound sometimes, after the car's been stood for a couple of days or so. Definitely the brake servo (booster over there, sorry).I dunno what causes it, I would have thought that if it leaked then it would continue to leak, but the problem goes away after a couple of minutes, so I tend to wait. Not having boosted brakes is quite entertaining on these cars!
I think I'll need a new servo sooner rather than later.

thanks for the replys. i bled the brakes and i have a much firmer brake pedal, but it is still not a 100%. I think i am just going to stick it out and save the 100 dollars, i dont want to waste it on BS. thanks again
