tilt steering pin remover?

In the tech article for tightning tilt steering column, it refers to a tilt steering pin remover. Can i do without this tool? as it is impossible to find.

I borrowed one from a guy that worked at a GM dealer. I have heard of people using a slide hammer. you will have to use the correct thread at the end of the hammer. I don't know what thread it is off hand, but someone else on this board may know.

You could order the tool from MAC tools, part #PPR1000, for about $20. You could also try a dent puller.
