shooting oil!!!

shooting oil!!!

once in awhile when i start my car and rev it a little it shoots what looks to be a mix of oil and gas(to liquidy for just oil) out of my tail pipes!! would this meen i will have to rebuild it? or just replace the valve seals?

Are you sure that it is gas in the oil? have you pulled the dipstick to see what the oil looks like? Make sure it is gas and not water or radiator fluid

i think it is, the dipstick is a little darker than usual.

run you finger down the dipstick and see if it feels milky. Does the car run any differently than usual

it is not milky and it runs the same as before. could it be that i just need new piston rings? if so, how hard is that to do?

Sounds like condensation in the exhaust picking up the crap in there shooting out black water spots.

Yeah, oil and fuel making it to the tailpipes is probably rare if the car runs good.

sounds to me like condensation that builds up as anormal part of combustion, pretty normal for cars with cats on them. once the cats get to normal temp the fluid should go away as the exhaust is over 600 degrees.

When your driving do you smell a real rich smell form the exhaust? you could also buy a gauge to hook up to your O2 sensor
