Broken hood release, urgent!

So my hood release broke today, the cable flat out snapped.

How can I get into my car's engine bay? It doesnt look like i can even see the latch from underneath, anyone have any ideas? The car is stuck at work because it needed water.... and now i'm screwed.

If you can see the cable then grab it with a pair of vice grips. Otherwise cut away the outer shell of the cable a bit till you can see the cable then grab it with a vice grips. Lucky it's where you can still reach it.

Right by the latch, as in under the hood eh?
So I don't think you can reach it then can you?

Sorry, I'm no help here, I guess try reaching up under the car with a flatblade screwdriver and see if you can jimmy it open. Best of luck.

Incase this happens to anyone else... there is a little access panel snapped into the splash gaurd, remove that, and then take a scredriver and slide it up to the latch and use a level action to pop it.

The cable came off the clip that holds it. pretty crappy, i put a tack weld on it so i didnt have to go through that again.
