Help!! Engine dieing!

Hey guys, I need some help. I have a 1990 Firebird w/ a 3.1 V-6 AT. It is dieing right after start (10 seconds after about). The engine starts to sputter, and no matter what I do (hit the gas, put it in neutral, anything) it will not stay running. It takes a little while longer to start after it died, but it started both times.

Also, there is a lot of fuel smell after it dies.

Is my fuel pump dieing? Fuel filter clogged? Ignition problem?

Thanks!
Douglas
