Rear end swap

I own an 84 TA 4bbl HO. Unfortunately, I have a regular differential, 3.42s. I want to switch to a limited slip. I believe that a 3.42 limited slip rear end is available, and I was wondering if it would be a direct bold on, or would mods need to be done? Also, how much would the new rear end be, and where could I get one (outside the dealer if possible) Thanks for any replies.

Unless you are interested in getting disk brakes or something along with the new rear... just get new 28 spline axles and a posi and swap that! It will be cheaper in the end.

Look at Moser for the axles and SLP for the posi.

1984 z28 w/ a 357 cu in. monster engine which is looking like the posterchild for Edelbrock with the exception of the Holley 750vac... all the suspension stuff... 9-bolt posi disk is in...
