New lifters?

I'm going to replace my stock cam with a 218 duration from Comp Cams and am wondering since it is a roller cam, Do I really need to change the lifters?
I wouldn't imagine with the roller tips it would really matter.
Budget is getting tight at this point.
Old school practice with solid or hydraulic tells me that I should always replace them because of wear pattern.
Does the same hold true with the hydraulic roller lifters?

Rollers? Typically, no. So long as they are in good condition and are correct for the cam you will be using, you should be good to go.
