which intake gasket for LG4

I have done a ton of searches. Here is the deal, I am changing the intake gaskets on my stock LG4 because the "china wall" in the back is leaking oil. The question I have is which intake gasket from Felpro should I use? I went to autozone and they had the Felpro 90314-2. Is that a good one to use? Do I need the Felpro "printoseal" ones i see at Summit? I don't want to have to do this again anytime soon but for an LG4 i didn't figure I needed the high performance gasket.

btw, I got the info on using a bead of black silicone on the china walls instead of the gaskets.

thanks,
phil

You don't need anything special. I use the Fel Pro ones all the time. Their only downside is that they are sort of a "skeleton" gasket and don't seal up every combination of aftermarket heads and intake- they leave some gaps on some combinations. On stock stuff they're fine.

Only thing I do before installation is a paper-thin smear of RTV around all the water port openings on both sides of the gasket. Helps prevent leaks and it holds the gasket in place on the heads as you drop the intake on.

i was advised against using the actual china wall gaskets, and use rtv instead, no leaks 5 intakes on various chevy motors

obviously you still need the intake gaskets for between head and manifold i have used the felpros from autozone and don't seem to have any leaks, and i second the sealer around water ports just dont over do it

I'm a fan of a thin layer of RTV around the water jackets too.

Seen more leaks in that area without RTV it than with it.
