For my Vortec 383 Ive been buldin up, Ive been goin on the assumption that I was gonna carb the motor. Right now all I have is the short block and some vortec heads, slightly ported on exhaust side. I was lookin at the HSR and it looks like it wont work with vortec heads (said it would work on pre-86 motors). WHat are my options as far as top end if I want fuel injection? I wanna go carb cuz its cheaper, but Im kinda open to other options at this point.

BTW: The motor im runnin so far is CC XE274H, 230/236 @.050, .490/.490, 110 LSA, Forged flat tops (appx. 10.75:1 w/64cc).

Id be fine with incredible low end torque, I dont wanna push this thing much over 6000rpms to make power.

 

Search through the TPI forum, preaty sure the HSR is coming soon for the TPI/Vortec combo, only other one off the top of my head is the SDPC base for Vortec heads...allows you to run your TPI stuff on the base.
