I was just curious since its fairly easy to find LS1 parts on Ebay...how hard is it to build an LS1?

Are they too much more complicated than a normal small block Chevy?

Just more expensive.

Cams are easier to swap. (You dont have to remove the intake)

Headers, cams, heads, pistons, etc. are all available.

Go to www.ls1.com and ask around, a lot of people there have modded LS1s and they can fill you out on the $$ figures.

Keep in mind, just the engine in stock form with trans and a computer, I've seen go for 4 or 5 K.

Then you get into custom motor mounts, blah blah blah.
