Weird noise...please help
I just bought the LO3, as most of you know.
I just put the car on the road yesterday, and everything is fine and dandy. I started the car up this morning, let it warm up, and took it for a spin.
Around 2000 RPM with a load on the motor (doesn't make the noise when in neutral) It makes a high pitched rattle/squeal combination from under the hood. I know that is is hard for anyone to help me, but I cant find the problem because the car has to be driving down the road to hear where it's coming from.
I know there is a problem with the clutch on my AC compressor because it makes a grinding noise when it is turned on, and it still blows cold... which means the compressor is still good. It it a possibility that the A/C clutch could make this noise?
It almost sounds like a bearing is shot to $hit, and a pulley is rattling around under the hood, but I don't know where to start looking.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Im not sure what the problem is with the noise u describe...but i may be able to help with the compressor ...i break them down for a living in a rebuild plant...the R4 compressors are my assignment..and when i break down the clutches i almost always find debris in em that either prevents them from spinning or causes the grinding noise you describe...now it would be great if you could take the clutch off and clean it out but u need a press for that...so if you want to help prevent any damage to the clutch or the failure of the clutch all together...take some air and blow it in the back of the clutch to try and clean out the debris that natually buils up back there...we do that for the stuck clutches and it works about 33 percent of the time..not the best odds buyt it may help....
or it may make it quieter at least
im a camaro fan and i just happened to find a job rebuilding camaro firebird compressors...weird
