When you bumped the motor to #1 TDC did you align the crank so it was at the 0° mark on the timing tab? Did you then varify that the #1 plug wire terminal was in line with the rotor in the distributor? I would double check that you are at TDC and I would also tripple check that you didn't get any wires crossed.

shifty..yes to all of your questions...I set the dizzy via the manual...I've done it before and it worked like a champ....there is NO spark...from the plug or the coil.....I swaped in a new dizzy after auto zone found the ESC to be bad....they also tested the coil and found it to be slightly out of spec....they were measureing resistance..the book said the minimum should be .6 ohlms my coil was .57....I thought because its an MSD coil it would be OK...am I wrong??? There is no ignition fuse is there?.....just completely stumped HELP!!
