Oil leaking from behind plug!!!

I was under my car looking at a few things and i noticed that my number 7 plug was covered in oil. I know that is not coming from above because there is that metal plate just above it. I tried to tighten it by hand and it wouldnt move so i dont think it is loose. What does this mean?

It means you aren't strong enough. The correct torque to tighten the plugs (from HELM's manual: (V6) 25 ft-lbs, (V8) 22 ft-lbs. You are getting blow-by past the plug because they aren't tightened enough.

You should tighten all plugs with a socket or wrench, but the fact that oil isn't leaking thru any of the other plugs doesn't make sense. I thought there was an engine condition where oil gets on your plugs, but I forget what it's called.

I'd bet money your left valve cover leaks... there's no "metal plate" that would keep oil from the VC from getting down there. When the VC gasket leaks, the oil usually runs along the rail to the rear of the head and runs down at the rear, which of course means the #7 plug gets saturated.
