Summit Rebuild Kits(Forged or Hypereutectic Pistons?)

Hey guys. In my Summit Racing catalog, Summit overs an Engine Rebuild Kit for 1976-1993 Chevy 305(and many, many other engines, i might add.) Here are the specifics:
_____________________________________
Cast, Sterling Hypereutectic, or Speed Pro forged pistons

Speed Pro Piston Rings

Main, cam, and rod bearings

high volume oil pump

top quality gaskets

freeze plugs

Plastigage

assembly lube

Pistons, rings, rod and main bearings are available in standard bores and various oversizes. Compression ratios are calculated with .030 over pistons.

My engine was rebuilt around 96/97, but it has been sitting for about 2-3 years, only getting cranked about once a week until recently when I took control of it. I figure this would be a good step to returning the engine to a good condition, as it is currently bone stock. I plan on adding the Flowmaster American Thunder cat back, Catco high flow cat, and eventually Hooker Shortie Super Comp headers and a CompCam 264.

My question is what kind of pistons should i get, and what bore/size? What is best for my situation?

BTW, compression for the forged pistons are 8.64:1

Hypereutectic is 8.39:1.

For that combo, I believe the hypers are adequate. Get flat-tops (L69) instead of dished (LG4), which should bump your CR up to around 9¼. I would also not recommend the HV oil pump; my favorite is the regular M55, with the Mr Gasket relief spring (part # 26). Bore for the pistons & rings, and the bearing sizes, will depend on the state of the block and crank you have; that's not necessarily something you can pick & choose.
