Need help with radiator, especially if you have a Be-Cool

Well I was trying to install my Be-Cool radiator today and I'm having some major problems. First it won't really fit into the engine compartment right. It's too far over the the passenger side and I've already pounded the daylights out of the driver side radiator cradle seam. Any ideas on this one? Also it seems like it's way too high up. I can tell because the fan bolts don't want to line up. How can I make it lower?? I've heard of people cutting the mounts....what would I use to cut them and what part of the mount would I want to cut? Finally, about how large of a spacer did you guys have to use to move the fans away from the radiator and how much clearance should I have between the two? Thanks in advance guys. I would love to remedy this tomorrow. I'm getting so close now and these little things are killing me.

Try Ames Performance Engineering. They have excellent Desert cooler 4 core Radiators. I was going to buy one, but they drop ship them out of California, and it takes 4-6 weeks for delivery. They are direct drop in radiators, so you won't have to do any mods. They are about $250 total, that is including the shipping. I just ended up getting a Modine Radiator locally around here that a few people on the board recommended. If your car isn't ready for the road for a little bit yet, this is the way to go, (in my opinion). Then this way you don't have to cut anything in your car. Either way, good luck man!

my becool more or less dropped in. I did have to tilt it back a little but not much hammering was needed. I am using an twin SPAL electric setup that was made for the becool. I have about 2 inches between the waterpump pulley and the back of the fans.

I'm running the stock fans. Anyone else have any input on this situation?

Sorry Paul, I can't imagine the problems you're having. My BeCool dropped right in with no modifications at all. It did sit a little higher, but it was less than an inch. When I first put mine in I used the original fan and rad hold down. I had new stuff made later on, but it was just for show and not function. Right now there is less than 1/4 inch between my Mr Gasket fan and the radiator.

It's all good...I got it in finally!! Noting a little mini sledge hammer didn't fix. I had my rad support and cradle replaced when the motor and all were out so it was probably tweaked slightly. It's all lined up good now though. Thanks to everyone.

When I installed mine, I made spacers out of some tubing, but you can use alot of different stuff, anyways, they were about 3/4" thick. Do you have an auto tranny, or manual? If you have auto, and unless they changed them, you will need an adapter for your tranny lines, which they don't tell you. Hope this helps...
