Could be bad gas... did you just recently fill up your tank or go to a station that you normally don't go to? Did you change timing any?

it started at the drag strip.....made 14 passes lol and like the last 4 i closed off the dump..... then when i got into town i was playing with a slowstang and had it in 1st..... nailed it...... let it fall on its face and then i heard it knocking..... went away under 3000 rpm..... have had it this way for bout 2 months so i ruled out a rod..
... but i think it might be a bad lifter.... gonna put heads on and change them all out.....also thought i was floating an exhaust valve if there was too much back pressure... and it had a weak spring... so i am lookin for help
