Thanks.....OK it runs/What is it worth?

Thanks to everyone who responded to my post so quickly. It was much appreciated.

Ok. Now that I've got it running great, What is it worth.

1987 Formula- 170,000 miles, 305, 4brl, auto, a/c (not working) decent tires and brakes, It's been wreck and repaired. The passager door, fender and 1/2 of the rear 1/4 panel are from a different auto. The VIN matches the hood and the rest of the car VIN markings. It has the correct rims, hood, spoiler, and the sticker in the door states that it should have 245/50/R16. All the suspension goodies, guage package and the little "perfomance suspension" on the dash are there also. The front seats are not correct to the car, and the windshield has been replaced. But that's it, everything else belongs on the car. The A/C just needs to have the compressor changed. Also I live in Florida, so it has no rust to speak of that is of any concern. I'll post some pics when I get some photo's of the car. Interior is fair, the dash is great, and all the instuments work. I just took for the maiden run and in runs out fine. Three hard 1/4 miles and no proplems.

So what is it worth? Give some thoughts.

Thanks...later...

without seeing it in person this is gonna be a very rough estimate, but going just by what you describe, i'd say no more than 2800-3000, with something under 2500 being much more likely. Since its a 4bbl, its almost definately an LG4, which could quite possibly be the most undesirable V8 ever put in f-bodies. And with that amount of miles, you definately not gonna get a premium payout for it. Add in the fact that its been wrecked and your looking at more like 2000 or less.

Then again if the repair work was done right and the paint is in prime condition you could get more.

thats just my guess....

305, 170K and been wrecked? I wouldn't give more than $1200 or so for it. But you might find someone who won't notice that it's been wrecked and squeeze them for $1700 or so. Just my $0.02.
