As much of an f-body guy that I am...I would have to say take the '89 as long as it it the turbo coupe. My neighbor across the street has one. He is 2 yrs older than me...19...and he has it hooked up to no end. It is a beautiful car...and pretty quick for a four banger. I would rather have a 4 banger Turbo coupe rather than a 4 banger camaro. I truthfully hate the looks of the Berlinetta's...no offense. I was going to buy the guys across the street for 2 grand since it had a small problem. But then I was given my V8 TA. No way am I giving up a V8 TA for a turbo coupe...especially since my 350 is dropped in there. But T-birds are nice cars.

The 89 is not a 4-cyl. It is a 3.8 v-6 rear drive, with an Eaton SC. The 2.3 liter 4-cyl. was only used until 88. The body style is a lot different. The 88's are bad though for a 4-cyl. The one I had was stock, but it ran real well, and had 150k miles. Even an 89, I would take over a Berlinetta (sp). Just a preference.

First of all he said beretta, thats a variant of the cav as far as i know, its not even an fbody. Beretta and Berlinetta are very different cars. Second of all, why do you all hate the berlinetta so much? It has a cool interior, all it needs is a new engine, and most of you have different engines than stock anyway, so whats the big deal?

Doh, my bad. I apologize. For some stupid reason, I thought he said Berlinetta. Okay, even a Beretta, I would trade for the Ford. The Ford at least is a performance car. The Beretta could be, but the aftermarket support for it is next to nill. I have nothing against the Berlinettas. They would make great cars with an enigne transplant, and some body mods.

I had a 90 Sc T-bird--car was a blast to drive! I raced everyone and their mother w/it!! Good thing I had an extended warranty w/it!! Car was in the shop more then it was on the road!! Wonder why?
At the time it was only 2 yrs old! Went through about 3 transmissions!
Would never buy another ford again tho!!
Bad service at the dealer!!
