Where is the world can you find rebuild kits if possible or remanufactured or even after market headlight motors? I think the dealer still has them but I want a rebuild kit or a after market headlight motor for a 1990 Pontiac Firebird

Seems that when you turn the lights on it continues to turn even after the lights are up for a short period. Which means that it is about to go bad<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by Vomex:

There is a good chance you dont need a rebuild kit at all. I had the same problem and i fixed it about a week ago. It only took me about an hour. If you take a look at www.sc3gfb/resources/hdlghts.html and www.transamtemple (sorry i dont know how to put links in) they each have directions and picture on repairing your headlight motor.I ran into a few problems so i got to know my headlight motor pretty well. So if you have any questions feel free to email me. .

Also there's more info. from others in the post "91 T/A Headlight Motor ... where to buy " located in the Body and Interior section. Cost me about $0.75 for three steel ball_bearings ... and still working fine. I had the same symptoms you describe.
