Anyone with Crane Golds?

I heard from a friend of mine that he had problems with them loosening up and that he was always having to readjust the valves. Have any of you had a problem with them, or is this just something he did wrong/unique case?

I've had them on my LT1 car for about 25k miles and have never had to touch them after the initial install.

If you set the set screw in the center of the lock they shouldn't move, I suspect your friend just isn't tighening the locks down right.

some people give the lock about an 1/8 of a turn after setting the set screws 'just in case' but it shouldn't be necessary.

Currently installing 3.73's into my 9 bolt (YES, it is a 9 bolt & YES they are 3.73's, not 3.70. I currently have 4.10 gear sets and new series 3 carriers in stock for 9 bolts )
