Need new fuel line

I've got an 82 Camaro SC that was originally an LQ8, but now has a 350. It still has the original single 1/4" fuel line which isn't going to be adequate. What has to be done to replace it with a larger size?

Most practical thing to do would be to get a set of fuel lines from a car in the wrecking yard.Probably need everything from the tank pickup tube to motor.
More elegant fix (more expensive) would be to convert to AN fittings at the tank and use braided stainless steel hose.
I would avoid using a length of rubber hose as much as possible.
I would guess lines from a wrecked Z28 would
bolt right in, though I haven't had to do this to my car.Just go check out a car at the wrecking yard that's got bigger lines.

Get a 25' roll of 3/8" aluminum tubing from Summit. I don't know what pickup the LQ8 had, but if it's also 1/4", you'll want to replace that. Running the Al line is a breeze, as it bends easily without collapsing and flares nicely as well.

I'm surprised it only has 1/4" line - are you sure it isn't 5/16"? Even my lowly 2.8 had 3/8" line.

Are you sure you want to chop that car up? With less than 1k made, it's sure to be a collector's item...

Yeah, it's 1/4" not 5/16", a -4 tube sleeve fits and a -5 doesn't.

As for keeping it stock, the car's already been modified, and even if there were less than 1000 made, I think the whopping 90 HP would negate any collectibility.
