Air Intake Temperature sensor?

where is the intake air temperture sensor on a '89 L98 350 TPI engine located? I need this info asap please help

On my 1990 L98 TPI it's mounted under the plenum, towards the back, sort of by the fuel pressure regulator. I suspect it's in the same spot on yours.

FWIW, in this case, most folks will refer to it as a MAT (manifold air temp) sensor, not an IAT.

I thought the IAT and MAT were two seperate parts. Maybe it's because you guys have V-8's. I actually need to change out my IAT and the harness for it as the plastic clip broke and the connections comes right out of it. But on my 2.8 the IAT is in the air intake pipe right after the air filters on the nose of the Y inlets from the two filters, about 6 inches ahead of the MAF sensor. At least that's what I found in my Chiltons manuall.

they prform the same function, just the one for the tpi is in the bottom of the plenum as stated before.
