Fuel Pressure question, was 6, now it's 3psi w/in..
It's a holley electric fuel pump going to a regulator to a holley carb. The line I had going from the feed line to the regulator had a really bad kink in it. It was holding steady at 6psi, but today I changed the tube so it flow's free, and it's at 3psi. Is it that simple?
The guage is right before the carb, and after the regulator, but I don't see how it would read 6psi when it was restricted and now 3psi that it's free flowing. I know it was really kinked cause the pump used to sound like it was gonna die half the time, now it just hums steady.
Im gonna go play with the regulator and see if somehow that makes a difference. Any ideas on what could make me lose pressure? And idealy, what should the pressure be for a naturally aspirated mid 13sec car?
Thanks,
Scott
