Total timing advance problem
I am having a problem with my total advance. One time I check it I have 36* which is ok. Then the next time I check it, it goes to 45* advanced. I cant get to be consistant at all. I am using the factory 85 TPI distributor with 8* of intial timing. I'm thinking its in the distributor but would like any advise what to look for. Mods are in the sig.

there are many things wich affect timing, as long as the initial timming is always the same, the advance will be determined by such things as engine load, engine temp etc. try to check it under the same conditions.
