but since 5.0L is actually 303ci, then 5.7L is 345.42. More commonly known as 350

305 is 305.19 cubic inches, actually. 16.39 cubic centimeters per cubic inch, makes the 305 5002 cubic centimeters, or 5.002 liters.

350 is actually 349.85 cubic inches (349.847 rounds to 349.85), or 5733.99 cubic centimeters, or 5.734 liters.

Based on using the rounded value of 3.14159 as the value of pi; and 25.4 mm/inch as per US law.

Isn't math wonderful?

It is long as it isn't actuarial.

Folks call an LS1 a 350 or 5.7L when it realy is 346ci.

Hehe!!

That reminds me of an idea I had for my '71 Camaro. Since it's a TRUE American car, I was going to get a decal for the fenders that said

1.5 USG

That way all the import "tuners" would know what size engine I have.
