Oil Seepage-Exhaust Port
Oil Seepage-Exhaust Port
Got under the Car to change the oil today and saw that there is oil seeping from the #2 exhaust port. Between the header and the head. And only on the #2.
89 350TPI No special mods - stock engine stock heads - headers - engine Rebuilt 1yr ago.
Also I haven't noticed any changes on the dipstick. And just noticed about 4 days ago blue smoke at start up, that's a no brainer though.
Any suggestions. Other than seeing the oil, the car runs pretty good.

Sometimes if a cylinder is burning a little, and I mean little oil, it will creep into the ex. port and seap out wherever it can.
I wouldn't worry about it unless you are getting oil on the plug in that hole.

What do you mean if a cylinder is burning a little oil.
Are you talking about bad rings? Blow by?
Could this be bad valve seal on just the one cylinder?
Any suggestions are welcome. Is this something that I may not have to worry about right away, or is this BAD JU-JU.
Catastrofy (sp?) waiting to happen?
Thanks anyone.
